The Jackson Fellows kicked off the new year with a bang, gathering at IslandWood for the 2025 Fellows Summit. Since its inception in 2020, the biannual summit has served as a vital touchpoint for connection, learning, and rejuvenation. This year’s theme—Reflect, Reframe, Restore—set the stage for a transformative weekend of introspection, growth, and celebration of the program’s 10th anniversary. Throughout the weekend, Fellows engaged in a variety of activities designed to foster connection, professional development, and self-reflection.
Friday evening began with a warm welcome dinner and a lively trivia night hosted by 2025 cohort member Rachel Aronson. The camaraderie and shared laughter set the tone for the days ahead.
On Saturday, the focus shifted to professional growth and leadership. Fellows participated in the Reflection Matters workshop led by Julie Stoltman of Reframe Career and Leadership, diving into exercises that helped them reassess their career trajectories and leadership styles.
Saturday evening wrapped with a special 10th anniversary reception, where Fellows joined Jackson Foundation Board Members to celebrate a decade of leadership, impact, and community. The evening was filled with heartfelt reflections, inspiring stories, and a shared commitment to shaping the future.
On Sunday, Fellows Kayla Demonte (2022), Marina Sebright (2023), and Jillian Youngblood (2024) helped us cap off the weekend with a facilitated session to help Fellows explore and discuss strategies for fostering civic engagement and collective impact.
At IslandWood, we came together not only to mark a milestone but also to reflect on our shared and individual achievements. Through thought-provoking discussions, immersive workshop sessions, and meaningful conversations, Fellows explored their professional journeys and redefined what meaningful work looks like for them. The weekend was a chance to restore energy, realign purpose, and reconnect with a dynamic community of like-minded leaders. Fellows walked away with renewed clarity, energy, and direction, ready to make an even greater impact in their communities and careers.
